It's inspired by a true story and based on the book 'Devotion: An Epic Story of Heroism, Friendship and Sacrifice' written by author Adam Makos published in October 2014.


The movie focuses on the true story of two US Navy fighter pilots during the Korean War. Both Lieutenant Tom Hardner and Ensign Jesse Brown and how they became the Navy's most celebrated wingmen duo due to their heroic sacrifices.



Highlighting the strength and resilience of life as the only African-American Navy pilot during this time, Ensign Jesse Brown is played by actor Jonathan Major.


Within the film you will see how much both black excellence, black love, unity and interracial friendships exist.

MelodicallyInTune had the opportunity to attend a special screening in Atlanta, GA at the Regal Atlantic Station Cinema on Friday, November 5, 2022.


Following the viewing of the film was a Q&A with actors Jonathan Major, Christina Jackson and Director J.D. Dillard.


Other well known actors within the film include Joe Jonas, Glen Powell, Daren Kagasoff and more.


The movie premieres in theaters November 23, 2022.

Louisville's own teen rap group The Real Young Prodigys' (TRYP) are known for creating music that brings on both conversation, controversy and overall change.


TRYP's style of music delivers relative messages that impact our world today. It's the "land that was stolen and home of the caged," the group focus on topics ranging from poverty, hair discrimination and injustice within the black community.


In 2021, their single "CROWN" influence the passing of the CROWN Act Ordinance in Louisville, Kentucky. A policy that changes ways of how one should not be discriminated against because of their hair within any work or school environment.


With their new single "Ridin' Around With the Green (RAWTG)" focuses on the issues of mass incarceration and criminalization of marijuana within our community.


The song is available now on Soundcloud and other music platforms.

The film is shot in Atlanta, GA directed by Nolan Hubers-Rhoades, with footage from the state of Georgia's first licensed black-owned hemp farm The Green Toad. Organizer Nyree Clayton-Taylor mentions during a viral sneak peak of the film how much, "the kids must always lead with data."


The Cannabis industry in the U.S. reached a record high of $25 billion revenue in 2021. Cannabis is one of the fastest growing industries for both medical and adult use. (Vox, 2022)

Members of TRYP research the percentage of black owned cannabis businesses and were able to learn more about hemp and cannabis products while attending an Atlanta Hemp festival.

This announcement releases on what would be Emmett Till's 81st birthday on July 25.


A new film titled TILL directed by Chinoyne Chuku (Clemency) starring actors such as Jalyn Hall, Whoopi Goldberg, Sean Patrick Thomas and Danielle Deadwyler.


Emmett Till was just an eager young man from the south-side of Chicago who was finally able to visit his family in Mississippi for the summer.


Mamie Till Mobley battled with herself on whether or not her son would be okay in a world that he is not use to. Mamie had to teach her boy how to be small down in the south where Jim Crow laws still heavily exist.

In 1955, Emmett was brutally lynch at the age of 14 years old. It is every mothers worse nightmare to loose their child and Mamie was persistent in showing the world exactly what happen to her son. She uses her voice as a lead spokeswomen within the Civil Rights Movement standing for black people and mothers who demand change within their justice system.


During a Zoom interview this summer Director, Chinoyne Chuku mentions how she, "hope it can galvanize people to action... making the world a better place not just for themselves but for other people." After watching the film she would like for viewers to walk away feeling inspired and wanting to help create a better environment for everyone both black and white.


The main character Emmett 'BoBo' Till is played by Jalyn Hall. Chuku mentions how much of a sweetheart he is to work with.


Hall while being relatively close in age now of when the traumatic events of Emmett Till took place.

The movie TILL will have a world premiere at the 60th New York Film Festival and will be shown in select theaters on October 14, 2022.
